Lavender, ylang-ylang and clary sage essential oils, as well as their main constituents, have all been studied for their ability to promote these therapeutic benefits. To further enhance the synergistic effects of this aroma blend, Lavandin and lavender hydrosols along with witch hazel extract make up the base of this calming pillow and linen mist. Lavender, specifically, has been used historically for stress management, including its effects, such as insomnia and anxiety and lavender can generally promote relaxation, and possibly provide neuroprotective benefits. Though typically less sedating than lavender, lavandin compliments the synergy with its potential antidepressant, antispasmodic and nervine effects. Witch hazel has an incredible affinity with the skin and makes for a great addition to a spritz for your pillows!
